Facts
This camera was a gift from my grandpa to my mom
— turns out, it's a family heirloom too. It was stored in my grandma's wardrobe for years. I used to play with it as a child (I'm so glad I didn't damage it). Now I know: always set the shutter speed before cocking the shutter.
The light meter is a
built-in uncoupled selenium meter — and it still works!
That's amazing. These meters can degrade over time, so
the camera should be stored in a dark place to protect it.
I recently found out
this camera has interchangeable lenses!
I was shocked — I didn't know how the viewfinder (and focusing) would work with them. Turns out,
the lenses have moving parts that engage with the rangefinder mechanism to focus correctly.
